Departure day is upon us early Friday morning.
Time to load up the bus with our luggage for the flight home to Minnesota. Two weeks seems like a short time to be away from Minnesota in the winter, but I think a lot of us were looking forward to being home. Oscar, our driver, was able to stow our luggage on the bus like a pro with the assistance of Jack. It seemed it took only a matter of minutes, considering there were 22 passengers. The eleven AM bus ride was smooth, and we arrived at the Havana airport with plenty of time for customs and security checks. Saying goodbye to our host families was sad. We were asked when we would be back with our families.
